Once you have submitted a completed questionnaire, your answers will be analyzed by our system. Based on the answers provided, an assessment report is immediately generated and sent to you as an attachment to an email message.
The assessment report is used as a tool to identify the operational and managerial strengths and weaknesses of your organization. The report includes scores in each of six business practice areas (board operations, communications, financial management, human resources, information technology and strategic planning) as well as across five performance themes. The performance themes are designed to help you understand the underlying causes of weaknesses across business practice areas. This is critical to consider, because it helps you systematically address issues and avoid the pitfall of resolving one symptom only to find that another one has emerged from the same cause. The five performance themes evaluated in the assessment are:
- Control – Whether your organization has financial and non-financial checks in place.
- Direction – The extent to which your organization is exerting effort in a consistent way.
- External Orientation – Whether your organization uses feedback from buyers, sellers, the economy and investors.
- Systems – Whether your organization employs formalized processes for handling standardized tasks.
- Time Perspective – The extent to which your organization lives in the present, or whether it has a long-term perspective.
The report is not intended to replace a diagnostic phase or be misinterpreted as remedies or actions. It is simply a guide that is used in helping to identify the areas within your organization that may need to be improved upon or leveraged.
